Option A: Auto-sync after every workout

Open Shortcuts app → Automation tab
Tap + → Personal Automation → scroll to Apple Watch Workout (triggers when a workout ends)
Set Workout Type to "Any" → tap Next
Build these actions:
1. Get Details of Workout — select the Shortcut Input (the completed workout). Use this multiple times to extract: Type, Duration, Active Energy, Start Date, Distance
2. Format Date on the Start Date — Custom Format: yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ssZZZZZ
3. Dictionary — create a dictionary with keys: type = Workout Type, durationMin = Duration (in min), calories = Active Energy, startDate = Formatted Date, distance = Distance
4. Set Variable "workout" to the Dictionary
5. Dictionary — create {"workouts": [workout variable]}
6. Get Contents of URL — URL: http://YOUR_MAC_IP:3000/api/fitness/ingest, Method: POST, Request Body: JSON, pass the dictionary above
Set Run Immediately (no confirmation needed) → Done

Option B: Daily batch sync

Create a new Shortcut (not automation)
Add Find Health Samples → Type: Active Energy, Start Date is in the last 2 days
Note: "Find Health Samples" does not have a Workouts type. For batch sync, use the XML import above, or use Option A which triggers per-workout.

The API deduplicates automatically — re-sending the same workout won't create duplicates. Both iPhone and Mac must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
